How WLI Engages Men to Support Women’s Leadership in the Pacific
This resource summarises Women Leading and Influencing’s (WLI) evidence-informed approach to involving men in advancing women’s leadership in the Pacific. Based on a literature review and consultations with Pacific practitioners and alumni, WLI recognises men’s support as critical to shifting gender norms and enabling community acceptance of women in leadership. The paper outlines how WLI creates intentional spaces for men’s reflection and allyship, draws on Pacific cultural practices and male advocates, partners with women’s organisations for accountability, and moderates ambition to focus on achievable, meaningful change within program scope.
