Gender Equality and Disability Inclusion - Guidelines to Address the Specific Needs of Women and Girls with Disabilities

These guidelines were developed by the ADB Gender Equality Division in collaboration with the Social Development Team, Human and Social Development Sector Office, and are designed to assist ADB staff, government, and civil society development partners to strengthen an approach to gender- and disability-responsive development in the region. A specific sector focus has been used to address the needs, concerns, and empowerment of women and girls with disabilities in the infrastructure areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); urban development and transport; as well as the social sectors of education, health, and social protection.
