The Empowerment of Women and Girls with Disabilities – Towards Full and Effective Participation and Gender Equality strategy aims to strengthen the inclusion of the rights of women and girls with disabilities in UN Women’s efforts to achieve gender equality, the empowerment of all women and girls, and the realization of their rights in line with its mandate, and international norms and standards, including the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the Convention on the Elimination the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
