These guidelines target priority areas to create a sustainable approach to the urban development in Tbilisi, Georgia ensuring resources are targeted at the areas of most need, whilst also retaining heritage and greenspace. Sections within the guide look at urban spaces and gardens, principles and steps in Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Design of Green and Recreational Spaces, Considerations in Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Design of Green and Recreational Spaces and Standards and Criteria for Detailed Park Design. It predominantly focuses on using a gender lens, and includes examples of inclusion of women as carers as well as identifies that good design needs to be disability inclusive as well as gender-responsive and consider the specific needs of PWD.
